Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Still unsure? Ask your adviser, that’s what they’re there for.
How quickly will you get back to me?
If you request a callback, a qualified adviser will usually be in touch within one working hour. Messages sent through the contact form are answered within one working day, Monday to Friday.
Is it free to speak to an adviser?
Yes. Our advice is free and there’s no obligation to go ahead. We’re paid by the insurer only if you choose to take out a policy through us.
What details should I have ready before I get in touch?
It helps to know roughly who needs cover (just you, your family, or a business/group scheme), your rough age range, and whether you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Nothing needs to be exact, your adviser will fill in the gaps.
Can I get a quote without speaking to anyone on the phone?
Yes. Leave your details using the online form and an adviser will follow up, usually by phone first to understand what you need, then in writing with your options.
What are your opening hours?
We’re available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. We’re closed on weekends, but you can leave a message anytime and we’ll get back to you the next working day.
What's the difference between individual, family and business cover?
Individual cover insures just you; family cover extends the same policy to a partner and children under one plan. Business cover is arranged for employees, sometimes as a group scheme with simpler underwriting. We compare options across all three so you get a policy shaped around who actually needs cover.
Can I add optional extras like dental or optical cover?
Many insurers let you build in extras such as dental, optical or mental health support alongside your core policy. Availability and cost vary by insurer, so we’ll point out which providers offer the extras that matter to you.
Will my premium go up every year?
Premiums typically rise a little each year with age and medical inflation, and can increase further if you claim. We review your policy at renewal and compare the market again, so you’re not just left on whatever the insurer quotes.
What happens if I need to make a claim?
You or your GP contact the insurer directly to get treatment authorised, and the insurer typically pays the hospital or specialist directly from there. Your adviser is on hand if a claim gets complicated or you’re not sure where to start.
